McLaren Vale
Grenache, Shiraz and the sea — 45 minutes south of the city.

Wine tour questions
How much does a private wine tour from Adelaide cost?
Wine tours are charged by the hour, door to door: Luxury Sedan $85/hr (up to 3 guests), Luxury SUV $105/hr (up to 5), Passenger Van $120/hr (up to 7) and Small Bus $150/hr (up to 10). A four-cellar-door day in McLaren Vale or the Adelaide Hills runs about 8 hours — $840 in an SUV, which is $210 each for four guests. The Barossa is around 9 hours and the Clare Valley 11, because of the drive.
How many wineries can we visit in a day?
Three to five. Four is the sweet spot: enough time for a proper tasting at each, a long lunch in the middle, and no rushing. Five works in McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, where the cellar doors sit close together.
Are tastings included in the price?
No. Tasting fees are paid directly to each cellar door, usually $10–$35 per person, and many venues refund the fee if you buy a bottle. We show the tasting cost for every winery as you build your day, so there are no surprises.
Do you book the cellar doors for us?
You book the tastings and lunch directly with each venue, which keeps your reservation in your own name. We flag which cellar doors require a booking as you choose them, and your chauffeur knows the opening hours and timings.
Where do you pick up from?
Anywhere in Adelaide — your home, hotel, Airbnb or the airport. Your chauffeur waits at every stop and returns you to the same address at the end of the day.
What happens if we buy wine?
It travels with you. Every vehicle has boot space and padded carry bags for cellar door purchases, so you can buy at your first stop without carrying it around all day.
